Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia
Judges information to deliberating jury
Can a judge go into a deliberating jury room that is hung 7-5 to aquit and tell them that the plaintiff passed a polygraph test? This was not entered into evidence in the court room and they were not told that the defendent had also passed a polygragh test. Within two hours the jury came back 12-0 to convict. Sounds like he influenced the jury to me and you could get a reversal.

No he can't and i doubt very seriously that he did. What proof do you have? If there is ANY, then file a judicial complaint against him with the Judicial Qualifications Commission. Have your attorney move for a new trial.
