Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

I have a VOP warrant for not reporting but I report at home and they never came by or called. This is the 2nd time this has happened, last time I just got shafted. My contact info is current, my probation started when parole ended September 2016, I was arrested early in October for not reporting to probation and the warrant predated my probation start date by a week or 2. After release I have tried to report, they continued to tell me that I was "unassigned" that I was on intense probation and they "report to my home" and that "when assigned my probation officer would contact me". I was sent away when I went to the probation office in person. This continued for a few months and I decided to believe them that they would contact me. I had an "attempt to report" card stuck in my door in January 2017, reported the next day and they were just verifying an address or phone number or something, asked the guy and was told "no he wasn't my PO" and that my original PO was on maternity leave and that I was still unassigned. Here it is June 2018 and I suddenly have a VOP warrant for not reporting, I've been consistently paying supervision fees every month online and have never received a phone call nor letter nor visit from anyone in probation since Jan 2017 and was consistently told not to call or report to them, that they would come to me. How is this legal and what do I do to resolve this without going to jail unjustly, again.

No one here knows all the facts but you definitely need a lawyer. This is not a DIY fix. I suspect you have, intentionally or not, messed up, but a lawyer may help.

Probation is like a parent. In the judges eyes, they can mess up, but you cannot. I suggest that you contact a good defense attorney to speak on your behalf. Otherwise, you might find yourself right back in custody. Does shafted mean you went to jail for 7-10 days last time?
