Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
how can an attorney benefit me in establishing child support? I've attempted to go through the state and it's been 8mnths, trying to get an order established, meanwhile, the non custodial parent has given child support (for two children) 5 times totaling $1000.00

An attorney can usually speed up the process by expediting getting you a hearing.

You haven't filed in court I assume. An attorney can determine how much he should pay and place that before the court. Thereafter, once an order is entered, the attorney can file for contempt and force the matter. If he wants to avoid jail, he'll have to pay. An attorney may provide the pressure that a state agency is unable to do because of caseload.
