Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Child missing

My husband went to a court hearing re: contempt agenst his ex about visitation he hasnt seen his daughter since july 2002.. and she contempted him as well because their son (we have him) does not want to see his mom. the judge ordered evaluations on everyone and no visitation till the evaluations but can still have contact with the children. well he calls her school on sept 2, 03 and find out she hasnt been in school since Aug. 22, 03 left school as normal and has yet to return.they are worried about her too, they can not find her either. we have been given the run around about where she is The mothers husband is saying they split up and he dont know where she's at..

Question can we press crimal charges, or what would we file in court on something like this? Mom has physical custody of the daughter and they have joint legal custody of her. My husband has full physical and legal of the boy..

Please help

Re: Child missing

I would suggest filing a motion for emergency hearing to see if the judge will order an immediate change of custody based on the evidence provided by the school and maybe even subpoena the husband. You may then have to get law enforcement involved if you still cannot find the mom and the child.
