would my childs father have to adopt the child if we were to get married after t

i am a 19 year old who is pregnant and the childs father and i would like to get married but not until the child is born would he then in turn have to adopt the child even though the child would be carrying his last name or does he have all full legal rights? please help im in destress.

As the biological father and listed on the birth certificate, he will not have to adopt the child. The child would merely be born out of wedlock, but would still have all the rights as if born in wedlock.

No, under Georgia law, the child would be legitimated by the marriage of the parents.
