To be certain that everything is done properly and to prevent a future situation where she may try to get the child back based on a claim that things were not done properly, you should consult with and hire a family law attorney who handles adoption cases. The attorney can prepare all documents and oversee the filings in court to make it all offical.

Re: family custody
The attorney handling the adoption should do all the paperwork. It would not be a good idea to draw up anything outside of what he does. You should have the attorney lined up now so that when the time comes the appropriate paperwork can be done. Georgia law doesn't let much be done before the baby is born paperwork-wise.

There is paperwork which must be filed and it must be done correctly. Consult with a local attorney.
