Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Can't find her

I got married in CA Aug. 1995, the following year we went our separate ways and have not seen or spoken since. Since then, I've moved to GA. I have called all numbers that I had to try to locate her. Used online searches to get additional info. Even sent a certified letter to her and her sister at the last known address to them. The letters were returned. We don't have any kids or anything together. I want this to be over. What do I need to do to get a divorce.

Re: Can't find her

If you're in metro Atlanta, we can help you with what is called a divorce by publication. The fees are very reasonable and it looks like this is likely the route to go. We'd need to ask some details to be sure, but I suspect this will not be a difficult process in this case.

Give my office a call to discuss this.

As long as you have lived in Georgia for at least 6 months, this state has jurisdiction to dissolve the marriage. The service of process on her would be by publication. Let us know if we can help.
