You are entitled to live the lifestyle as you previously lived with the understanding that there may not be as much money left after the divorce. If the divorce is fault based, then things like alimony can be offset or refused altogether in cases of infidelity. Ask a more specific answer and you may receive a more specific response.

There are several factors a court may consider in determining if alimony should be granted and for how long. Some of these factors include the length of the marriage, the age, health, station, occupation, amount and sources of income, vocational skills, employability, estate and needs of each party, the property settlement, and whether the custodial parent should work.
