Are these hours billed high or standard?
We needed to get sole physical custody of her kids, together with the lawyer on initial meeting, we drafted what we wanted. Ex signed the papers with no issues. This was our bill in Georgia:
Initial meeting: 1.2
Draft modify custody, proposed agreement, verification, acknowledgement, letter to ex: 3.0
Edit pleadings/agreement: .5 (we didn't request any edits)
Paralegal prep petition: .8
Paralegal prep agreement: 1.0
Paralegal prep acknowledgement: .5
Prep letter to ex: .2
draft motion of pleading, final order, letter to judge: 1.4
Paralegal prep motion: .8
Paralegal prep letter to judge: .2
Paralegal Prep modification: .8
Receipt of signed order from judge, draft letter to clerk: .6
Review file and billing records, draft letter with retainer refund: .5
Total hours: 11.5

I of course do not know the specific details of your case but in my opinion these charges do not seem unreasonable or out of the ordinary.
Each case is different. In some cases, these hours may be too low, in others too high, and in other just right. If you have questions about your bill, talk with your attorney. Next time you need an attorney and are concerned about fees and time on the case, the time to worry about it is when you are looking for an attorney. There are attorneys who have flat fee arrangments where you'll know beforehand how much a motion, petition, and similar documents will costs beforehand.
