My husband and I just got his children legitamized in Georgia. She moved to Florida. We live in Georgia.We wanted to know what steps to take to receive joint custody of his children?

If she moved less than 6 months ago hire a Georgia lawyer. Otherwise hire a Florida one.

Unfortunately, your husband missed a step, he should have filed the petition for joint custody at the same time he filed a legitimation action. In any event, your husband should file the petition for joint custody as soon as possible. The longer the children establish roots in Florida, the less likely he will receive joint custody.
