Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My Husband and I have been married for two years but we have been together for 9 years. We have always had a joint checking account amd paid our bills together. My husbamd purchased a house about 4 years ago prior to us getting married. We have always paid things regarding the house together also. My question is since it was purchased prior to us being married where do I stand by the law in Georgia?

There's no way to answer you. We don't know if you're facing divorce, or perhaps wondering about inheritance, or facing no issues. We don't know how much you contributed or what changes in value have happened to the home. Perhaps you can reask your question with more information?

If you were thinking about filing for divorce, you may be able to obtain the value of the work/money that increased the value of the house. However, because he owned the house before you were married, it is very unlikely that you would maintain possession of the house after the divorce.
