Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My ex husband and I have shared joint custody of our 2 minor children. He is the sole care taker of the children and the children live with him. One of our children is sick with a kidney diease. Because I am not currently employed and I can't help him pay outstanding medical bills on her and previous medical and dental bills he refuses to let me see the children. And as of right now I have seen them 2 times since September which was only 1 night on each visits. If I dont do what he wants when he wants it I cant see them...he holds them over my head, it upsets not only me but the children....there are times they BEG him to come be with me and then he makes other plans with them and sends me a text and says "they have plans with their "real friends and family"

Denial of visitation is punishable by contempt of court. If you want to see the children you will need to get a lawyer and pursue a contempt. Be aware he can counterclaim for amounts you owe him, so you should discuss that with counsel.
