You should obtain an attorney to protect your rights. You should be able to qualify through a pro bono service in your county. Contact your county bar association.

Your attorney should ask for alimony to permit you to live on your own and obtain job skills. Unfortunately, this is the risk women take when they don't have a job during marriage. Nevertheless, if alimony is granted this should permit you to obtain skills through courses or job training to support yourself.

In addition, Georgia is an equitable distribution state. As a result, you may get 50% of the marital assets or more. In addition, there is an issue of common liabilities. Your attorney should petition the court to force him to pay all marital liabilities.
