Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
My ex, who has "joint" legal with me as the ultimate decision maker is an extremely bad influence on the children. Last month he was arrested for a DUI and I learned that he will be getting evicted (his court date is this week) from his home. What can I do to keep the kids out of his unstable environment?

You should consider hiring a Georgia family law attorney to discuss the specifics of your situation. You may be able to file a petition to modify the current custody order so that your children are no longer allowed to be with your ex unless the visits are supervised (by your or someone else). Best of luck.******The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client relationship.******
Does he also have joint physical custody or substantial visitation? If so, if he is evicted and/or convicted of DUI, you will have cause to modify custody. You may have a harder time changing custody if the eviction does not go through and he is successful defending the DUI charge.
