How can I get legal custody from my soon to be ex-girlfriend of my 2year old daughter?

It's not a given that you can. Unless you have legitimated the child you can't even see the child. You can get a lawyer, ask a court to legitimate the child, and they can decide child support, custody and visitation. I can tell you that it would be very unusual to get sole custody. Some form of joint custody is likely more achievable.
