Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

If mother and child move to another state can she change the Childs name? I have signed the birth certificate.

Signing the birth certificate isn't enough to make you the legal father. You have to legtimate the child to have legal rights in Georgia. If she hasn't moved already or if she left Georgia six months or less, it is not too late to start the legitimation process. Otherwise, the new state's laws would dictate who you obtain rights and a say in your child's name. As a result, an attorney in that state would be able to advise you.
