Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Paternal Rights
I'm currently pregnant with my first child. The baby's father and I aren't married and since I've been pregnant (I'm currently 20 weeks) he hasn't attended a single doctor's appointment or had any interest in this pregnancy.
When the baby gets here, will he have rights?

Re: Paternal Rights
He will if he legitimates the child.Consult with a local attorney.
Re: Paternal Rights
He will have the legal obligation to support the child for 18 years.
What other rights he may have (custody, visitation, etc.) will depend on whether he legitimates the child when the child is born or afterwards.
Re: Paternal Rights
not unless he legitimated and asks for custody and visitation rights , of coourse after paternity is proven. he can work for them but they re not given...
