Paternity and child support

I would like to know if i need to have a lawyer to have a paternity test done, also would I have to pay child support if i signed the birth certificate?

You can do a test without a lawyer and you can sign things without a lawyer, but both are extrememly foolish and dangerous. See a lawyer and be sure your interests are protected.
