Re: Post Nuptial Agreement

Prenuptial agreements are not "one size fits all." You need and desrve to have a good understanding of what prenuptial agreements can and cannot do under Georgia law and make sure you follow the rules unique to Georgia and tailored to your specific factual situation and desires.

I encourage you to seek advise from an family law attorney with experience in drafting prenups to advise you and employ that attorney to draft yours.

Please let us know if we can assist you.

The foregoing information is offered as a courtesy and is not intended as an offer to create an attorney client relationship.

It is highly unlikely that any store-boight paperwork will help you. There are ways to structure assets that might protect them in divorce, death or other circumstances that need to be tailormade to your situation. Call us to discuss details.

Re: Post Nuptial Agreement

Your best bet is to get a lawyer, and it is VERY important to get a lawyer who handles domestic issues as a primary practice - not someone who claims to practice in any or every area. If it is handled improperly, you may find out only after it is too late. Ask a lawyer you know for referrals; check website and profiles. Do you think your investments are worth more than forms at Office Depot, or a lawyer who doesn't often handles this kind of matter?
