Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I am trying to remove a non biological father off of my daughters birth certificate, I have state dna proof that he is not the father and proof of the biological father through the court as well. I don't have the money to get a court order. What are my options? Would vital records remove his name without a court order?? Please help!!

Only a court order can change a birth certificate. And no judge will remove someone without adding someone. There is an old Georgia case that bluntly says a court won't "bastardize"a child, so both men will be involved. Hopefully the tests you have are from court approved testers, so they won't need redoing.

Either the real biodad must file a legitimization againstyou, or you will need to file what probably will be rather expensive - a suit naming both fathers.

Be prepared for the court to also determine child support (and possibly custody and visitation). You will have significant legal fees, and you will not be able todo something this complex without a lawyer. If both "dads" cooperate, it will hold costs down.
