Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
Single parents
I am a new mother of a three month old baby. The father didn't want anything to do with him until he 1) had a DNA test done (which was fine) and 2)he decided he would be a better parent because he lives with his girlfriend who use to babysit a lot (oh and he has a law degree without a steady job)...my question is, he feels that our three month old should spend one night with me and then one night with him and keep that cycle going...there are no legitimation papers (I won't sign them until I fully understand) and he barely pays half of the babies bills (diapers, formula, daycare and insurance). What is he entitled to by law and how can I truly protect my child from his selfish wants? I don't want my childs development to be in danger because he wants to play house with his girlfriend.

You should consult with a local attorney to review all the issues of support, etc.
