Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My ex just told me I can't see my daughter; I need a lawyer now

My ex-husband just told my parents that I can't pick my daughter up for visitation tomorrow, and that his lawyer is sending me some sort of papers. Please someone, I need a lawyer now!

I suggest you contact a family law attorney for an appointment right away. If you have received the papers he is referring to, be sure to take those with you, along with the previous divorce decree or other court order or agreement which defines the present custody and visitation arrangements.

Talk to friends for a referral, just as if you were asking for a recommendation for a doctor or dentist.
