If I am having trouble with a 20-yr old step-daughter, can I legally remove her from the house?

If it's your step daughter, I assume you are married to her father. Therefore, both of you should agree to the eviction. She has a tenancy in the house. Therefore, to protect yourself you should go through the former eviction process.
