Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia
My wife and I seperated 2 weeks ago and her and my daughter live about 45 minutes from where I am. I asked her if I could get my daughter for the day Saturday and she told me no that I won't get my daughter until I give her money. Can she do that and if not what can I do?

While child support and visitation are unrelated, if you aren't paying support she can put you in jail.

Unless an order states otherwise, both parents have equal access to the child. Therefore, your wife cannot withhold visitation. At the same time, you are obligated to support your child. As a result, she can seek court intervention if you withhold child support.
