Canceled a wedding

My fiance decided he did not want to get married 5 months before the wedding and I am out money for the deposits that we lost. Can I get him to pay for these since it was his choice and not mine.

You can try to recover in small claims court for 1/2 or all of the money. (look at the limits for small claims) You are more likely to be successful if the two of you had agreed to pay for the wedding expenses together.
