Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

civil court filing

I retained an attorney with a $1500 fee 2 years ago and have not had any progress whatsoever on my case. I tried several times to call with no return so I filed with the Bar Assoc. I now received a letter from the court house stating that he has withdrew from the case but still no contact. If I choose to take him to civil court for the retainer how do I file and what is the terminology I would be using in the suit.

This is not the place to ask for ghost-writing a lawsuit. If you have exhausted all efforts to contact the lawyer, including email and mail, making it clear you want to discuss the retainer issue, the Georgia Bar has a fee arbitration service. Go to their website. This will likely resolve the issue without the time and money spent on lawsuits or other disputes. If you have a new lawyer, he/she may also assist.
