Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Harrassment

In a dispute with our neighbors about our property line, we have had a company come and re-survey and mark the property. We are planning on building a fence and they are pulling out the stakes that were maked by the company and also harrasing the contractors we have called to give us a quotation on the fence. We live in the City of Douglasville, Georgia and County of Douglas and there are no requirements for a permit as long as we construct a fence no higher than 6 feet in the back of the house and 4 1/2 feet in the front of the house. The police are not interested in the problem and just told us both to grow up. What legal remedy (restraining order? protective order?) do we have to prevent them from harrasing the contractors and pulling up markers and possibly damaging the fence once we get it erected?

Re: Harrassment

Take them to court get an injuction against them acting this way and if they act up again they can be charged with contempt. They will then be fined or sent to jail. If you need some more help let me know.
