Legal Question in Immigration Law in Georgia
My fiance entered the US in 2006 illegally, he was caught by INS 3 times at the border before but, says that they fingerprinted him once but he did sign the permission to deport him at the border each time. we are to be married on November 20 and I am investigating the possibilities of him getting legalized. I have heard rumors that they will approve him for residency but, first they will make him go to Mexico for a few months. Is this true or is there any possibility of him getting legalized. We have been told before by another attorney that it is impossible and that we would only be paying him for INS to deport him.

The attorney is correct. He is not eligible for adjustment. He might also have a so called permanent bar to admission. Consult a good lawyer before filing any petition with the USCIS.
