Illustrator - what rights to sell for children's book- self published by author

I am an illustrator in negotiation with an author who will self publish a children's

book.Want to sell them rights they need to print and promote book, but not

beyond that. What wording to use?

What you are in need of is a licensing agreement for your illustrations. This is typically a 2-3 page document and one size does not necessarily fit all. You should consult an attorney to draft an agreement that takes care of your needs.
