Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

I need some advice on serving jury duty in GA. First, does an employer have to compensate the employee at all for time missed during jury duty. Also, what happens if you have to serve jury duty at a different time of the day than work? Are you required to report to both for that day(s)?

It is illegal to discharge or in any way penalize an employee because the employee is absent for the purposes of attending a judicial proceeding in response to a subpoena, summons for jury duty, or other court order. However they do not have to pay you. If your jury duty is not at a time when you work, then you have to work.
