Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

The contract co. I work for a contract co. in a chemical plant that required safety uniforms to be worn inside the plant. We have to change, then badge in to the plant, walk through to the back of the facility to clock-in. They refuses to pay us for changing . There reason,excues whatever they call it,is (we give you leeway on your break time) is this legal ?

This is quite possibly a violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Department of Labor's "donning and doffing" rules. You should consult with a wage-hour attorney who will need more factual details to give you a more definitive answer. Most of us do not require the client to pay the fees on such litigation since the employer can be required to do so.
