Can my employer dock my pay for a mistake that I made on the job?

It depends on how much per hour you make, how many hours you worked in the workweek covered by your check, and how much he deducted. He cannot deduct so much that you would not be paid the minimum wage plus overtime (where appropriate) for all, the hours that you worked.
