Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
I was fired two days after a hysterectomy. I have never been written up or reprimanded and never imagined I would be terminated by phone. Is this right?

All we know is you were terminated after surgery. No one her can tell you what is "right" with only those facts. You don't even state the reasons they gave, or whether or not they stated a reason.

There are several facts that need to be disclosed:
1. The size of the company
2. The length of your employment
3. General treatment the company gave to others for medical leave.
4. Notice given to employer
5. etc.
You may consider seeking free consulations with 2 or more attorneys to discuss your options. I am available to discuss your employment issues in my office or over the phone.
