Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
Georgia Work Law
I was wworking for a painting contractor who never paid me for working for him. Is there a Georgia law for employees who work for employers and they don't pay them. What do I need to do for this particular situation?

Re: Georgia Work Law
You can go to the US Department of Labor to file a complaint regarding the company's failure to pay you. If you don't want to wait for that process, you can send the employer a demand letter for the wages (certified mail return receipt) with a date certain to provide the wages. If the deadline is missed, you can file a small a lawsuit in small claims court for breach of contract. Contracts can be both written or oral, so it doesn't matter if you don't have a written contract with the employer.
