can an employee be fired if found that he is a registered sex offender in Georgia

With few exceptions, in Georgia, unless you have a contract or are unionized, you can be fired for any reason, even a bad one. In this case, the firing could be considered a good reason. If you belong to a union, check with your union rep. If you are a contract employee, look at the contract. Most contracts have clauses that permit firing for good reasons or for moral turpitude.
