Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
labor laws
labor issue-got hired in and trained as a sales manager. after 8months of bouncing around helping out different stores the company says that the market is bad and they don't have a job lined up for me. I had to take an open position in a store-16k less a year! is this legal?

Re: labor laws
If you don't have a contract or belong to a union that may otherwise protect you, your employer may eliminate a position and place you in another position. In other words, you have very little protection as an employee at will (you are protected against discrimination based on, among other things, age, sex, race, religion, disability).
In fact, they did not have to offer you the open position. Of course, you could find employment elsewhere.
