Is it legal to record a conversation between myself and a coworker if I make her aware of the fact that I am recording our conversation? I want to be convered, since we are the only two in the office.

In Georgia, the general rule is that recording a conversation is legal as long as at least one of the parties to the conversation consents to the recording.

So long as you both are in Georgia when you record the conversation your actions are lawful -- even if you didn't tell her that you were recording it. However, your employer may have rules that prohibit this kind fo recording. So be sure to check. And if you secretly record a conversation over the telephone with someone outside the state of Georgia, then you will be violating the federal wiretap statutes (a crime).
