Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Loss of job

I quit a very lucrative job to take a position closer to home. The doctor that hired me changed his mind 4 days in to the new job and bascially said he changed his mind. I now have no job simply becaue someone changed their mind. Do i have any recourse. I was not offered any sort of severance only a thanks for your time.

Re: Loss of job

I will add that the law protects your decision to move, take the job and, if you do not like the job, quit on the spot and find a new one. To say you are not protected, or that new laws (and, not coincidentally, more reasons for lawsuits and legal fees) need to be enacted to protect one from their own ability to freely contract, is a fallacy and a gross distortion of the situation.
