Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

I was sick at work the other night and asked my boss if I could leave. She told me I would need a doctors note even though it was a Saturday night and I was throwing up. She still allowed me to leave and when I came back the next day without a doctors note, she sent me home. Is this legal?
