Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
volunteer work
can volunteer workers be forced to work a set amount or hours when it is volunteer work. If so where is a such law or how can it be found. What are the guidline for this. Bottom line is the amount of work up to the volunteer or who they are volunteering for.
Thanks

Re: volunteer work
You may want to re-post and explain how "volunteers" are "forced" to work a set number of hours. You may also be asking whether a volunteer can "force" the organization to allow them to work fewer hours. Volunteer work is generally a match between the organizations needs and the individual's desire and interest in that organization. If they don't match up, so be it. I can't imagine it would be a good idea for lawmakers to spend one minute enacting laws on this subject, or anyone actually thinking it is a good idea.
