Work calling Doctors Office
Is there legal recourse for an employeer calling your doctor's office to check if an appointment was made and the results of exam?

The primary issue is whether the doctor disclosed the information. If so, you MAY have a claim against the physician. I have handled medical disclosure cases in Georgia, where I also practice. If you have any further questions, please contact me.

Your employer is merely asking a question. The doctor does not have to provide information (and likely will not provide actual medical information). How are you damaged by the call, as tacky as it may be? If your relationship with the employer is bad now, threats of a lawsuit will not help. It may be time to look for a new job if there is no trust.
