It may be a violation of Title VII, regarding discrimination at work. What size is the company? What was the explaination for the division and the selection?
I've provided two links below (general information and filing a charge). You can read the requirements for coming under Title VII and the elements of sex discrimination. If you believe you have discriminated against because of your sex (male), file a charge with the EEOC. The agency will investigate the charge and issue an opinion. In fact, if you are covered under the EEOC's jurisdiction, this is a requirement before you can file suit for discrimination.
