Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

Broken A/C and Tenant's rights

My air conditioner has been broken for 2 weeks now (temp in georgia reaching 97 degrees) I have been unable to stay in my apartment, as the temperature generally reaches in the mid to high 80's (inside). I would like to request my next month's rent be discounted due to the inconvenience, but I want to know what my rights are, and if that is a reasonable request from a tenant. I would also like to add that I have called almost daily, and everyday they say ''Tomorrow it'll be fixed'' or receive notes on my door ''A/C is fixed'' (when it really is not)

Re: Broken A/C and Tenant's rights

If the landlord has failed to fix the AC, he/she are responsible to fix it under the lease, and you have given proper notice, you can moved out of the apartment and would be entitled to reimbursement for any rent paid for the remainder of the month.
