Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
Landlord to landlord communications
We have gotten numerous noise
complaints at our current apartment,
mostly because the walls are paper
thin and anything above a whisper
rouses the neighbors ... and also
because we have a rambunctious 2-
year-old... We are moving soon and
are worried that our current landlord
will tattle this information to any
potential new landlord when they call
for a reference. Is it legal for our
current landlord to provide such
information?

Re: Landlord to landlord communications
Sure, it is "legal" for them to make an honest comment about the complaints. Most probably will not, but maybe they will. Getting information is the primary reason for references.
