Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
I live in the state of Georgia, I received a letter from my landlords attorney saying we had to be out on July 1st. Our lease was up in February but I continued paying my rent through May with no issue. Can my landlord evict me with just a simple letter from her attorney? Without going through the court? The letter subject states termination of lease, and reads to vacate on July 1st. Is this legal?

You didn't event tell us the date of the letter, so your question can't be answered. However, of course a written notice to vacate is appropriate. Would you rather your first notice be from a deputy at the door? Is it your intent to stretch this out to an eviction suit against you that is on your public record for years to come? Are you just looking to take advantage and get as much free time in the home as you can?
