Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
Rental payment
Hello,
We have tenants that claim that they sent us a payment via UPS a few months ago. The package got lost in the mail and UPS does not seem to know where it is.
The tenants don't feel that they should resend the payment and I say that they--name removed--as we never received it.
The payment is not considered paid until we receive it correct?
What actions can I take?

Re: Rental payment
Generally, it is a tenant's responsibility to get it to you, and a landlord is not responsible for the method chosen by the tenant. However, you don't mention what your lease says about the issue.
