I have had items stolen while this work has taken place equal to 900.00 dollars (roughly) I notified the police and my rental agency. I was told by the rental company that they have contacted the construction company and ''not to worry the construction company is insured'' whatare my rights? they let hese dirt bags into my home obviously unsupervised. can I hope to get restitution and what actions shoudI take? Thanks for ay help.

Re: Rental property/ theft

You have notified the police and rental agency, but you don't mention the outcome of either. If this jsut happened, give them time to resolve it and reimburse you. If it does not happen, you'll can consider Small Claims/Magistrate Court.

Re: Rental property/ theft

You can sue both the apartment complex, the management (if different) and the construction company. It would be up to them to sort out who is responsible.
