Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

Roommate dispute

I am not in a lease with my roommate, but lately he has made it a very uncomfortable living situation to live in the apartment. I didn't want to screw him over but he is kind of leaving me no choice. He is rude to me and so is his girlfriend that doesnt even live there, I am forced to hang out in my roommate unless I want to deal with the stares and just overall the uncomfortable situation and vibes. He said that If I moved out he would take me to court. I would prefer not to even give him a 30 day notice, more like move out in the next 2 weeks, its just that bad.. If he does take me to court, can he do anything?? I never signed anything and only he is on the lease.

Re: Roommate dispute

If you agreed to live there as a sub-tenant, then you should give him 30 day's notice. Otherwise, he could potentially sue for lost rent.
