i have a case with mcdonalds where i fell in the bathroom because of the floor was with grease. it was a sat. morning but i did recieve a call from their ins. company on that tues. they told me they would send a form for medical information. i filled it out and now i'm waiting for an answer from them. i decided to call the hosp. to find out how long it will take for them to recieve the papers. the hosp. stated that it would take about 7 to 10 business days. they also told me they haven't recieve the request yet. why is it that the ins. company haven't sent the request yet. and ohh yeah i'm five months pregnant, did't want to go through the hastle of an attorney but i have a sprained wrist also.

So far you have done everything wrong that could be done wrong.
You NEVER talk direct with insurers and never let them request your medical information. Insurers will always pay far less to unrepresented than represented people, and you don't submit any medical information before treatment is complete.
Stop talking to them, get counsel, and protect yourself.
I understand your frustration. You want to believe that the insurance company will want to help you and that the store owner is trying to do right by you. The problem is that you don't know what type of insurance policy is in place and whether the information you provide is nor going to be used against you.
Slip and fall accidents are different than auto accidents a d there are different standards of proof.
Go to the doctor for your wrist and visit your ob asap.
