Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia
I live in a 28 home subdivision and have the corner lot at a "T" intersection. A neighbor is now complaining that the view of the intersection is partially blocked by my landscape and it puts her 4 yr. old in jeopardy when riding his bike. She has asked the home owners association to have me remove it or face a potential lawsuit. Can I be sued if something happens at that intersection? The landscape is 12 years old and has never been an issue before.

Anyone can sue for anything. Assuming you are within the bounds of the law (state, local, right-of-way, HOA, local ordinances, etc.), you should just ignore the threats. Your neighbor is likely far more responsible for any accident than anyone else, for not properly monitoring his child. That said, it is generally courteous for homeowners to maintain their property so that it does not interfere with visibility at intersections.
In the event the homeowners association and/or their attorneys threaten you with a lawsuit, you should contact my office immediately for legal counsel.

Good luck!
If your shrubs obscure the intersection cut them. A $25 pair of shears is a lot cheaper than a lawyer.
